dear friends, here is my january 2022 calendar with some cultural recommendations for the next two weeks in lisbon. I'm obviously going to try to attend them all (and fail miserably). but at least I have started the year off with a music concert of marinho and a screening of the latest short film “the sound of crackling fire” by lady bilro in valsa last night. these can be tips for dates with loved ones, leads to take your close friends or challenges you can give to your family to keep up with the arts. let’s keep lisbon alive!

• [x] at the top of my list is the opening of the photography exhibition lisboa clichê of daniel blaufuks in museu de lisboa - palácio pimenta.
• [x] underdogs also saw the artistic talent of mariana duarte santos, who will be opening her solo exhibition double exposure later this week.
• [x] I'm definitely looking forward to see wind dreams by joana escoval in galeria vera cortês.
• [ ] and I couldn't forget the exhibition I want to catch up with: handle with care that opened while I was out of the country. curated by ana cristina cachola in galeria francisco fino with artists such as gabriel abrantes, vasco araújo, carla filipe, karlos gil, evy jokhova, david maljkovic, ursula mayer, adrien missika, rivane neuenschwander, diana policarpo, alice dos reis, von calhau!, emily wardill, lawrence weiner, yonamine.
• [x] carlos bunga will be presenting a new project in a shipping container in terreiro do paço thanks to cam in motion by gulbenkian.

• [ ] after a long time away and thanks to a dear friend, I decided it is time to return to cinema nimas to watch licorice pizza by paul thomas anderson (also in cinema ideal).
• [x] the sound of crackling fire by maria joão bilro in valsa, graça (+ marinho showcase).

• [ ] joana gama & luís fernandes present there’s no knowing in a favorite lisbon space, in culturgest, next to campo pequeno.
